Frequent Questions

The Village Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm. in the Council Room at the Village Hall.

Garbage is picked up every Monday – must have it out by 7:00 am. Recycling is picked up the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month – must have it out by 7:00 am.

When Monday falls on a major holiday, the garbage and/or recycling will be picked up on Tuesday.

Except as provided in s. 174.054, the owner of a dog more than 5 months of age on January 1 of any year, or 5 months of age within the license year, shall annually, or on or before the date the dog becomes 5 months of age, pay the dog license tax and obtain a license by March 31.

You will need to provide a copy of the rabies certificate (not the receipt showing you paid for the vaccination) along with payment.

For dogs that have been spayed or neutered the cost is $3.00; dogs that have not been spayed or neutered $8.00. If paid after March 31, there is an additional $5.00 late fee added.

  • The first installment (due Jan. 31) can be paid either by mail or in person at the clerk’s office. Checks should be payable to the Village of Fremont.   • The second installment (due July 31) must be paid by mail or in person at the Waupaca County Treasurer’s office in Waupaca. Checks should be payable to Waupaca County Treasurer. If mailing, send to Waupaca County Treasurer, PO Box 663, Waupaca, WI **Do not send second installments to the Village of Fremont, as it may create an untimely payment.
